He will tell you as much as a mediocre text book will. His lessons take up about 15-30 min of class, the rest you have to learn on your own. Martyn does not teach; he looks at your work during critiques, says it's nice and then marks is horribly when you hand it in. | ||

Martin challenges you to persue and push your own direction and limitations and he excels at addressing the needs of students with different levels of ability. Good projects with realistic but not lax time lines. Bless his cotton socks! | ||

Besides the fact I have a giant typographic crush on him, Martyn is a wonderful teacher. He knows his stuff inside out, and honestly wants the best for his students. He marks hard, but it make syou do your best. Also his random "redraw Baskerville!" or "Never use Arial or I'll kill you!" sayings are hilarious. | ||
