Mr. Martinez is a fantastic instructor. While his accent is quite muffled and will no doubt take time to get used to, you will get through it in no time. Great guy, and quite excitable when it comes to course material. I ran into him and told him I enjoyed his class and guess what? He gave me a FREE book for my Physics 2 class! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! | ||

Dr. Martinez was an excellent teacher, he really cares about his students, he reminded me of a middle school teacher. Mid-semester I just stopped going to class though(it's really boring!), you can just read the book and that's what the quizzes are based on. I definitely recommend this class for an easy credit!! | ||

Has a heavy accent, but is respectful to students. His tests are easy, and he curves one of them (there r 3). You can take the quizzes as many times as u want before the deadline, and he'll give u the highest grade. these r really helpful to prepare u for exams. i never used the textbook, but his notes. | ||

Just go to class, use your iclicker and dont forget to do the quizess they help you a lot if you are not a great test taker like i am. I dont recommend this class is hard and astronomy sucks | ||

Astro itself is a little complex but since its an intro class prof Martinez makes it possible that you get the grade you deserve taking in account the effort you put in. Lots of extra credit is offered and I highly suggest you do them because if you don't you will absolutely positively regret it in the end. Online quizzes are annoying yet useful. | ||
