Dr.Alaie does a great job preparing those of us who want to go to med.schools. For freshmen this could be very tough but will set you on the right track! It is a blessing she teaches at Hunter and not at NYU or some other Ivy League school! This fact should be really appreciated, whether you're failing or nailing her class. Thank you, Dr. Alaie! |

Having come into the course completely terrified, I must say that it's not as bad as it's made out to be. She is a great lecturer and you come out of the class with an understanding of the concepts even without having read the textbook. Felt like failing during the first few months, wound up with an A+. Be honest with yourself about your studying. |

This is not a class you can expect an A in without putting forth effort. Dr. Alaie has a PhD in immunology and she does not dumb down her material. Her questions are geared towards MCAT type material. If you are pre-med and can't hack her class, maybe it's a warning that needs to be heeded. I'm completely objective as I got a C+ in the class. |

Yes this class is hard and does require a lot of hard work and studying and is not for slackers. However, this class is doable and you can get a resonable grade and a very good grade. She is a very nice person and is always willing to help you out no matter who you are. She explains the material very well and does expect you to know it.givesxtra credi |

I hated this class, but I think it a bit unfair to label Alaie a "terrible teacher." She is enthusiastic about the material and does her job effectively, at least when it comes to lecture. True, she did ruin bio for me; I loved biology in high school; hated it in college. Taking her tests was excruciatingly painful. However, be fair people. |
