You learn a lot in his classes. He's a very fun professor and loves his students! That being said, 1b is hard. The tests are difficult, not so much the multiple choice, but the mid-term and final. You have to read the textbook like a bible and really understand his lectures and make connections between the two. I got an A, but I worked my butt OFF. |

Professor Schwyzer is a great lecturer, tough grader, passionate about feminism. You MUST take History 25B, but only if you want your world rocked and your presuppositions about sex and culture challenged. Only down side: puts too few comments on papers, and those he does write are illegible. Will friend you on Facebook! |

I have taken two different history classes with him and I plan to take a hum3 course with him. You have to read his textbooks. This class demands extensive notes and writing papers. Hugo has been able to reach me in the most dreaded subject I had to take (Hist) Hugo is very articulate and passionate about his students |

Excellent lecturer, very passionate and articulate. Like most of his kind a total liberal, but fairer than most. Has a ridiculous attendance policy, but his tests are fair (though not easy). Must write well to do well! My friends thought he deserved the hottest prof award, but not my taste. Still Hugo is a must have part of your PCC exerience! |
