He never marks points off for things not on the rubric. His work is not heavy at all. Funny guy. I would DEFINITELY take him.

He doesn't just give you work to give you work. The things that Bailey gives you really does help.I'm in highschool and took his class online. The writing techniques he introduced in his class helped raise my grade in my high school class.

Let just say I was .002 points from a transferable grade. Now you tell me what teacher does that. RUN AWAY AND TAKE PROFESSOR SILLS!
1/19/09 Eng131 2 4 3 2 emoticon smiley flag   His class was very tedious. Many of his assignments I felt we're pointless. All you do is write papers. I really didn't learn much at all from him. I would not take another class with him again.
12/9/08 ENG113 2 5 5 1 emoticon smiley flag   If you take can english course at HFCC, look for Dr. Richard Bailey. He's more than willing to help students with their writing skills. Bailey's real approachable, humorous and quite laid back. That's exactly the kind of person needed to teach an introductory english course.
