Dr. Alden is the best teacher Millersville University has. She is extremely fair, and it is the most laid back, interesting class that the school offers. You don't feel like you are in a classroom with her. It's like hanging out with a bunch of friends, it doesn't feel borish like other classes. She is a fair grader.People who got aD deserve Ds | |

Besides the softspoken accent amongst the loud humming of the computers, she doesnt know how to teach a journalism class. There is no rhyme or reason to her grading, and she expects you to be a 10+ years experienced NY Times journalist. Unless you dont care about getting a D on a paper just because you didnt cite something correctly, dont take her. | ||

Her accent is dreadful. She is too obsessed with her past. I could not keep attention focused on her because she was just so boring. Boo on Prof. Alden. | ||

As with most professors, she will try to push you a little more than you think you can handle, but that is a good thing. Has her own opinions about life, but again, what professor doesn't? Keep quiet and try to learn from what she says. Would do anything for students who are are polite and work hard. Not a pushover, tough but fair. | ||
