Has a teacher ever asked you to wait 3-4 weeks to grade the midterm?

The problem with this is that it is VERY VERY CLOSE to the deadline of dropping the class without getting a letter grade. Has this happened to you? If it hasn't what is the longest you have had to wait for the midterm results????

When I was a student, I always thought about a week was reasonable if it was an essay exam or a math exam. Even as a teacher, I think 3 weeks is unreasonable. I did have a math teacher take about a month to get a test back to us, but that was very unusual for him. I always wondered if he had misplaced them.
